Re: Role game
Lets only try to do test page in one room or location. If it become popular We will make real RPG theme.
Re: Role game
Maybe we can agree on one messenger? Jabber, ICQ, MSN/WLM... IRC?
Or should we play it asynchronous? (E-Mail?)

Re: Role game
I would also be interested in joining a kind of role playing game about aqua, but i think only asynchronous role playing can be realized! It would also be easier to store and remember conversations if we use a forum or something like that! In a forum it sould also be easier to create more than one place so that rp conversations can be differentiated by it!

Re: Role game
Depends on what kind of RPG we start.
If we made a free "storytelling"-RPG where moderators only intervene if players are severely exaggerate or ruin the game, a forum would be the best and only option.
However, if we'd form RPG-groups with Gameleaders, a forum wouldn't be the best option, in my opinion. A site like Obsidian Portal would be a much better alternative. Treak and I tested/used this one before and I think it's great for keeping track of NPCs, story, locations and so on - much better than a forum, where you'd have to read through all the posts. Personally, I'd prefer these RPG-groups and Obsidian Portal. Communication could happen via E-Mail then to minimize technical effort without sacrificing comfort.

Re: Role game
So...Will we made another forum for it?
I think asynchronous is the best variant.
I'm rather skilled in it. We will make peace locations for getting missions and chat. Then lets make battle zones(first of all for fights we must make rules and choose moderator).
Language is not a problem with it: http://www.online-translator.com/Defaul ... rmtlang=deWe can write answers on both languages.

Re: Role game
Since I'm against the idea, I won't set up a forum this time.

Re: Role game
I'm don't know, how to work with Obsidian. But if you still want to make the Game, I'm ready to help. Or you don't even want to think about it?
Re: Role game
If I have to organize it (again), I would prefer the Obsidian solution.
Obsidian isn't very hard. It has some integrated wikis for locations (with a map which is used like on google maps), characters, items and adventure logs.
It has video tutorials for everything, so if you can understand spoken english, it should be very easy to get into. I'd do most of the organizing anyway.
Communication should be ok via E-Mail (I guess?).
If we do it via forum, someone (as in "not me") would have to set up a forum and administrate it.
I also would like to hear the opinion of others about this.
